Remembered with honour

In April 2003 we visited Thailand.  The purpose of our visit was to travel to the JEATH Museum and Kanchanburi War Cemetery on the River Kwai.  The Death Railway was a strategic railway built between Thailand and Burma.  It was 415 kilometres long.  Construction begun on September 16 1942.  More than 16,000 POWs and 100,000 impressed labourers died during its construction.  One of these was Stan Tolliday.  This visit was made in his memory.
